This year we are fortunate to have Whaea Tiana and Sapphire leading our roopu with the support of Mrs Knofflock. We are learning the following set to perform for our whanau on Friday 23rd November at 2pm in the Hall. Whanau are then invited to stay on and share with us, how Sunnyhills can support our community with recognising Te Ao Maori.

Koanga Festival 2015
This year the Koanga festival was hosted by Elim Christian College.
We had a fabulous day and were proud to represent Sunnyhills School. Big thank you to everyone involved in the organisation of this.

Koanga Festival 2014
On Saturday 20 September we attended the Koanga Festival hosted by Farm Cove Intermediate.
We had a fabulous day and were proud to represent Sunnyhills School.
Thank you to all the whanau that came to support us and help with uniforms and makeup.
A big thank you to Whaea Kylie and Whaea Tiana for attending every Friday morning Kapa haka practice and for organising poi, uniforms, make up and the many safety pins for the festival.

Kapa Haka 2013
Alana, Ishaan, Melvin, Brianna and Hazel are all members of Sunnyhills Kapa haka Peformance Group. They went to every Friday morning practice on time and enthusiastic to sing waiata, perform haka and the poi.
